Gaurav Jain is a seasoned technology enthusiast with over 14 years of experience in setting up systems and optimizing existing processes. As the Director of Engineering for AI products at Rakuten, Gaurav is responsible for leading a team of exceptional product managers, data engineers, machine learning engineers, DevOps/MLOps engineers, and cloud data engineers to bring concepts to life. Gaurav has a strong background in requirement analysis, architecture design, development, and quality analysis, making him adept at handling complex projects. He has also demonstrated his leadership skills by leading a Technology Center of Excellence and currently leading AI and Data Practice while playing various key leadership roles. Before joining Rakuten, Gaurav served as the Director of Engineering at Nagarro, where he consulted customers through their digitization journey and helped execute breakthrough innovation strategies, including building a digital ecosystem, cloud enablement, data strategy, and advanced analytics. He implemented various platforms such as a geospatial analysis platform, a master data management system, and a cognitive search platform, among others. Gaurav also served as an Engineering Manager at Airtel, where he built a reliable big data platform capable of storing 2.5 petabytes of data in real-time while ensuring high availability and geo-redundancy. He designed and implemented various solutions such as site planning optimization, customer network experience, device scoring, and GIS solutions on the platform. He also developed custom products such as CRM, Billing, and Mediation for Airtel. Gaurav holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from UBS, Panjab University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from SKIT, University of Rajasthan. His technical skills include AI, Senior Software Engineering, ML, DevOps, Search, Big Data, CI/CD, and Hadoop. Gaurav is a collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder relationship building skills.
