Gaurav Kataria is a highly motivated and enthusiastic MS Computer Science student at the University of Southern California with a passion for problem-solving and programming. He is currently seeking full-time SWE/SDE 2021 opportunities to leverage his experience in Web, Backend & Mobile development, and knowledge in OS design, system-level programming in C/C++, and problem-solving expertise to contribute to innovation. With 2.20 years of relevant experience, Gaurav has worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Ordr Inc, where he worked with the Engineering team to understand Ordr's Analytics platform and develop new software features. He has also worked as a Software Engineer at Key Learning App, where he helped the co-founders translate business goals into developer tickets and directed the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of the Key Learning app. Gaurav has also worked as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon, where he developed the "Stock Up" widget recommending items to customers according to the predicted customer-item repurchase date. He mined customer purchase data of over 24 months, carried out statistical analysis, and used probabilistic models to identify trends. He also created a dashboard visualizing datasets generated by clusters and added tools to understand and debug data by drawing graphs and lists. Gaurav's education history includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Dwarkadas J Sanghvi College of Engineering. He also completed his ICSE from G.D. Somani Memorial School. Gaurav's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Python, Mobile, Backend, Web, and Test.
