Gaurav Kumar is an experienced data scientist with a background in fault detection and classification of electric vehicles. He is currently working at Coinbase as a Data Scientist, where he has automated simulations for collecting data in different fault conditions and used clustering to distinguish various states of operation of electric vehicles. He has also developed a data-driven approach to predict the remaining useful life of spark plugs for German OEM, designed a module to automatically detect spark plug replacement, and deployed the model on Azure platform to generate predictions using live data and create a dashboard for stakeholders. Prior to joining Coinbase, Gaurav worked at KPIT as a Data Scientist and Research Intern, where he developed a framework for real-time detection and prognosis of electric vehicle faults from scratch, automated the process of diagnosis and calibration of error thresholds for different variables, and submitted a paper for WCX: SAE World Congress Conference 2018 based on his work. Gaurav holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Certificate in Deep Learning Specialization from deeplearning.ai. He also has experience in Spark, Azure, ML, Web3, Deep Learning, NLP, Scikit, Python, Pandas, SQL, Sentiment Analysis, Seaborn, and AI. With 4.70 years of relevant experience, Gaurav is a skilled data scientist with a strong background in fault detection and classification of electric vehicles.
