Gaurav Patel is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Adobe with over 14 years of experience in various technical roles. He started his career as a Developer in 2006 and transitioned into Automation, where he worked for 10 years. Later, he moved into operations and worked with operations-related tools for almost 5 years. Gaurav has a passion for cloud computing and building/supporting cloud-native applications. Gaurav is a continuous learner and enjoys exploring new and uncomfortable technologies to design and deliver better solutions. He has achieved several certifications, including Certified AWS Solution Architect, Certified AWS Developer, Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, Certified in Linux Professional Institute - Level I, Gitlab Certified Associate, Certified in International Software Testing Qualifications Board, and Certified SAP Business Warehouse. Currently, Gaurav is working at Adobe, where he is responsible for orchestrating infrastructure in Kubernetes using EKS, deploying infrastructure in AWS using Helm infrastructure as code, and developing REST endpoints in NodeJS to migrate users and data to Auth0. He has also developed Python Automation Framework and Python Integration Framework and migrated them to Gitlab pipelines to optimize Continuous Delivery of the project. Additionally, he is working on breaking down monolith to microservice architecture and monitoring using Grafana. In his previous role at workfront, an Adobe company, Gaurav automated and orchestrated Multi-Cluster infrastructure in Kubernetes, worked on Service Catalog to monitor highly complex microservices, and deep-dived into the migration of Native AWS Infrastructure to Kubernetes using Terraform and application deployments using Helm Chart. He also created an Automation suite using Python Datadog API to create SLI/SLO via Manifest files using CI/CD pipelines. Gaurav has a Bachelor of Computer Science (Accredited Degree) from the University of Toronto, an Internet System Administration degree from Seneca College, and a Masters of Science in Information Technology from South Gujarat University.
