Gaurav Ranjan is an experienced early-stage investor with over 6 years of expertise in strategy, operations, business development, PnL management, and category & vendor management. He is currently serving as the Vice President at Prime Venture Partners, where he is responsible for identifying and investing in promising startups. Gaurav's previous work experience includes working with early-stage startups, where he was part of the leadership team and worked across functions to build and scale the business from the ground up. He has a proven track record of successfully managing PnL, driving category growth and expansion, launching new categories, and building and managing mutually beneficial partnerships with brands, OEMs, and e-tailers for last-mile service fulfillment. Gaurav holds an MBA from IIM Calcutta and a BE in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. He is a research scientist and product manager with relevant experience of 10.78 years. In his previous role at Housejoy, Gaurav was responsible for both top-line and bottom-line for ~15 categories. He worked with cross-functional teams across marketing, operations, product, and tech for demand forecasting, growth planning, merchandising, and budgeting. He also launched the B2B vertical catering to SMBs and was responsible for end-to-end PnL for the vertical. Gaurav's education history includes a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a BE in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
