Gaurav Sachdeva is a seasoned technology professional with over 19 years of experience in business strategy and product management. He is currently the Chief Product Officer at Singapore Press Holdings, where he is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, design, development, and monetization of digital media content and products. Gaurav has a unique blend of small startup's mindset and big company experience, which allows him to navigate complex people/culture dynamics while delivering what is best for the business and its customers. Gaurav has worked in several startups and large product company environments, including Grab, Autodesk, and Adobe, where he built, coached, scaled, nurtured, and grown several products and product teams. He is a firm believer in "thinking big, starting small (test/experiment), moving fast, learning and enjoying the journey" team culture. He brings a mindset that is led by humility and empathy for one's customers/users/partners, driven by intellectual rigor, rooted in metrics and data, and drives business outcomes. Gaurav has a background in Computer Science (A.I/ML, Natural Language Processing - NLP) and engineering from Cambridge University and Delhi College of Engineering. He also holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business. Outside of work, he enjoys music, photography, and cooking with friends over for engaging conversations on cinema and world matters. He is a regular speaker at conferences such as WAN-IFRA, INMA, Splice Beta, Digital Media Asia, Product Hunt, IQVIA, advises tech startups, and is part of advisory councils of initiatives such as INMA Product Initiative for Media Companies. Gaurav strongly believes that in order to pull-off innovation at a large organization, you must roll-up your startup sleeves higher and tighter. To that end, he is leading SPH's content and products vision, strategy, design & development, and pushing business model innovation.
