Gaurav is a highly skilled Senior MTS at Salesforce with over 10 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. He is currently working on the development and administration of an in-house Kubernetes and Docker platform, occasionally coding using Golang and Python. Prior to joining Salesforce, Gaurav worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Amazon, where he was responsible for maintaining terabyte-sized datasets on AWS (Redshift, Aurora) and building services to support the ETL framework. He also used Python, Ruby, and Java programming to support service operations and reliability. Before that, he worked as a Software Engineering Analyst at Accenture, where he worked in a team transitioning the client landscape from another company to Accenture. He created programs to automate critical tasks, reducing effort time by 70-90%, monitored SAP applications, Windows Server, RHEL systems, and created house-keeping scripts (batch/PowerShell scripts for Windows, bash/csh scripts for Linux). He also set up disaster recovery, high availability for SAP & Oracle servers, and performed change management activities in the SAP system – Kernel Patching, System Copy/Refresh, deployment of support packs and patches, Database restore, System Installation & Migration. Gaurav's technical skills include hands-on experience with Linux, Windows Server 2005/2008, knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (Oracle 11g) Administration, SAP BASIS Administration, basic administration knowledge of MSSQL 2005, knowledge of object-oriented design, and the ability to quickly learn OOP languages.
