Gaurav Sharma is an experienced Engineering Manager at GlobalLogic with a diverse background in technology and leadership roles. With 14 years of relevant experience, he has developed expertise in Program Management, Architecture, Digital Transformation, Data Platforms, and end-to-end Product Engineering of high-scale distributed systems. Currently, Gaurav is leading the engineering of a new big data platform on Azure, Databricks, and Spark stack to ingest and standardize data. He is leveraging the big data ecosystem to process TBs of data per hour and has developed a financial reconciliation engine to run and consume this data. In addition, he has led multiple teams to build a new event-driven reactive micro-service platform on Java and Spring framework. This platform deals with high-scale inter-service communications and a highly scalable learning platform with over a million engagement points handled in a day. Prior to GlobalLogic, Gaurav worked as an Associate Technical Manager at Tavant and designed and led the product development of a data-intensive platform on Angular and .NET framework. The platform supports data capture, trend analysis, and predictions to help engineering and operational via a data stream from LTE-M enabled IoT devices. He also led and strategized the team on multiple fronts of product development to evolve and optimize the user journeys and solutions. Gaurav has also worked as an SDE 2 at Amex, where he designed solutions and led the roll-outs and product enhancement for WFO initiative. He optimized existing business and technical competencies to make growth strategies resulting in over 11 million USD annual saves. He led the engineering team and product enhancements to onboard and expand the product reach, with close collaborations with Operations, Product, and Business stakeholders across different geographies and verticals in AmEx.
