Gaurav Sharma is a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Software Engineer at Qualcomm with over 6 years of relevant experience in the field of Embedded Systems. He has previously worked at Cisco and Tonetag, where he gained extensive experience in Digital Signal Processing, IOT Integration, Wireless Communication, Smart Metering, and Automation. Gaurav is a technology enthusiast who is passionate about making things efficient and impacting the world technologically. He has carried out numerous projects to solve and troubleshoot complex problems in a timely manner. Gaurav is a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. He has also completed his secondary education from Modern Convent School, Dwarka Sec-4. He has a strong technical background in software engineering, testing, integration, Android, and research. During his tenure at Tonetag, Gaurav played a key role in building and maintaining various software modules for the company's core POS product 'ToneTag POD'. He also introduced a new musical tone based on marimba instrument that encodes the data in its melodious sound waves, achieving good accuracy of above 92 percent. He built a software flashing tool and automated test-bench for ToneTag POD, enabling the test-bench to handle multiple USB devices using multithreading and IPC. Gaurav also built unit-testing modules for the company's proprietary SDK and performed static analysis using Rosechecker. At Untrodden Labs, Gaurav built Software Development Life-Cycle model for Smart Metering and Smart Home prototypes. He designed Embedded Firmware based on Round-robin with interrupts and basic RTOS models for Smart Metering AMI, Smart Home[Smart Switches],Vehicle Tracking and Industrial monitoring systems. He developed drivers and modular softwares for wireless communication protocols - GPRS, GSM, GPS, Wifi, LoRAWAN and Zigbee with on-field testing and benchmarking with ARM controllers. He also maintained error logs and documented the research work done throughout the projects in order to help fellow developers in future R&D.
