Gaurav Suryawanshi is a seasoned software engineer with a wealth of experience in C++, Python, MATLAB, and other programming languages. He is a research enthusiast and innovator in Machine and Deep Learning, Robotics, Epidemiological modeling, and Neural Network emulations. Gaurav has a strong passion for mathematics and statistics, and he possesses exceptional leadership skills and public speaking abilities. Gaurav holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer at Microsoft in the Cloud+AI Branch, where he is a member of the Azure Core Compute IDC team. Gaurav's past experience includes working as a Student Team Lead at the Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence IIT Kharagpur. Here, he designed a novel Agent-based model for Infectious modeling, which models Citizens dynamics and virus spread based on stochastic state machines. He also achieved 96.3% accuracy on Spatio-temporal modeling the COVID-19 trajectory curve for 3 Indian cities during March-Dec 2020 with an error rate of 5%. Gaurav built a comprehensive web-based ReactJS software built on Docker & Socket Programming for user-friendly simulation with graph & GIS-based Map outputs. He also implemented CUDA and OpenMP for agent load distribution in C++ and integrated it in Python using Cython libraries to achieve 91% efficiency. Gaurav's other past experience includes working as a Researcher at Aerial Robotics Kharagpur, where he formulated a novel idea to avoid vortex ring state by supervised modeling of wake turbulence using Learnt Neural Networks from CFD. He generated a convex avoidance region that acts as a constraint into Model Predictive Control to generate the ideal trajectory. Gaurav also developed a 2-axis servo gimbal for a drone delivery system project and developed its corresponding custom-designed Qt Software.
