Gaurav Tolani is a co-founder at Grabbit Live, a company that aims to bring live commerce to the 10 million SMBs of India. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Gaurav has a strong background in AI, ML, Python, Information Retrieval, Object detection, NLP, Neural Networks, Research Scientist, Big Data, Data Engineering, Spark, Scikit, Tensorflow, Pandas, MySQL, and Mobile. Gaurav completed his Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara, where he majored in machine learning and operations research with top-of-the-class percentiles. He has worked as an NLP Engineer and AI Engineer on multiple R&D projects, including chatbots, advanced relational database agents, and object detection models. Gaurav also has experience in large-scale machine learning solutions in hiretech and software analytics domains used by some of the top banks across the world. In addition to his professional experiences, Gaurav has also founded two startups. The first, grill.ai, aimed to help restaurants and pubs in metro cities drive more sales, increase consumer repeat behavior, and reduce overhead costs using data and marketing. The second, chefed.co, was a managed marketplace to hire trained cooks in metro cities in India. Gaurav handled the tech and the demand side of the business, building a platform to find local vetted cooks with add-on services. He exited the startup after building it for around a year, as he was more inclined towards building a tech company. Gaurav has extensive experience in working with hidden Markov models, deep neural networks, core machine learning, and MLOps. He is always up for collaborating and solving problems through code. Gaurav's passion for data and its potential led him to fall in love with information retrieval during his first elective course. He has since been committed to using data to drive business success and innovation.
