Gaurav Tomar is an accomplished Automotive Industry Manager with a passion for enabling automotive leaders to establish digital engineering processes and methods. He has over 14 years of relevant experience working with decision-makers in the automotive industry to encourage innovation by maximizing engineering efficiency and increasing organizational agility. Gaurav is currently serving as an Elected Representative in the Foreigners Council of the City of Munich, where he represents Asian interests in general body meetings to the Munich city administration. He is the first-ever person of Indian origin to be elected to this office, a testament to his leadership skills and ability to bring diverse perspectives to the table. Gaurav is also a founding member of the German-Indian Business Forum and leads its marketing initiatives. He sits on the board of the German-Indian Association (GDIZ), where he contributes to strengthening the economic and cultural ties between Germany and India. In his previous roles at MathWorks, Gaurav served as the Automotive Industry Manager EMEA, where he was responsible for long-term industry strategy, strategic business development, technology evangelism, and sales enablement. He also worked as a Senior Application Engineer - EMEA, where he developed, managed, and enhanced customer engagements in areas of ADAS, automated driving, robotics, and wireless systems across EMEA. Gaurav holds a Master of Engineering degree from Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences and a Bachelor of Technology degree from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. He is a highly motivated and results-driven individual who strives to make a positive impact in everything he does.
