Gaurav Verma is a skilled Software Engineer with over 15 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working at Arista Networks, Inc. as a Software Engineer, where he has been responsible for developing EosSdk APIs to support custom agents to program Arista Switches. Gaurav has also added support for Google Go programming language in EosSdk APIs. He has been involved in designing and developing Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI) library on Arista modular and 1RU switches to interface with Microsoft Sonic OS. Moreover, he has worked on the design and development of breadth test manager software to perform policy-based execution of unit tests. Gaurav is proficient in various programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Google Go programming language, and Java. He is an excellent team player and has a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. He has also worked on the design and development of dynamic network address translation (NAT) on DCS-7150 low latency switch. Additionally, he has designed and developed NAT connection limit feature for DCS-7150 switch series and address-only translation for DCS-7150 low latency switch. Gaurav has also developed FDL software for board bring-up of DCS-7050SX, DCS-7050TX, DCS-7050SX2 ARISTA switches. Prior to Arista Networks, Gaurav worked as a Software Graduate Intern and Software Engineer at Cisco. At Cisco, he developed a command-line interface for the collection of ISAPI virtual interfaces' statistics from data path processor on MDS 9000 Switch in a Storage Area Network. He also designed and developed shared memory infrastructure to support data transformation during in-service software upgrade and enhanced the design and developed debug-ability and logging infrastructure library for IOS-XR operating system. Gaurav managed the software release cycle for a project and organized workshops to understand and debug process core dump and memory analysis using gdb and objdump tool. He also performed integration and scale testing of version selection infrastructure and conducted new hire workshops to explain the basics of IOS-XR architecture, development environment, and test infrastructure. Gaurav holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Science from St. Thomas College, Dehradun, where he studied from 1996 to 2001. He is proficient in various tech stacks, including Software Engineering, testing, infrastructure, Python, Golang, Java, iOS, and integration.
