Gaurav is an enthusiast of cloud and infrastructure, working around clouds like AWS and Azure with tools like chef, powerdns, unbound, terraform, mesos, marathon, and many more. Gaurav has good hands-on experience in handling scale more than 10 million RPM with keeping systems reliable, highly available, and performant. He has expertise in development in infrastructure and systems management space, kubernetes space with some operator development and CI CD development. He is also proficient in clustering/orchestration tools like kubernetes, mesos, marathon, chronos, containers. Gaurav is skilled in programming languages like Python, Golang, C, and Javascript. He has experience in config management tools like Chef and Ansible, monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, Graphite, and other tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Rundeck. Currently, Gaurav is responsible for running, developing, and taking architectural decisions for Infrastructure at scale at Ola. In the past, he has worked as a Technical Lead - Infrastructure Software Development, Cloud and Reliability Engineering at Ola, where he led the development of kubernetes operator to support redis cluster on kubernetes. He has also worked as a Senior Software Developer, Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering at Ola, where he was a key member of the team responsible for designing and implementation of monitoring, logging, security, and other horizontal organization-wise platform components. Gaurav holds an Integrated Post Graduate degree in Information Technology from iiitm and an AISSCE degree in Science from r.l.b lucknow.
