Gauresh Kapoor is a rising sophomore at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Theory. He is a data science and analytics enthusiast with a strong passion for technology and its applications in solving real-world problems. Currently, he is working as a Data Science Intern at Data Glacier, where he is gaining hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. Gauresh has a diverse range of experiences in the technology industry, having worked with companies such as UCLA Housing and Innovate@UCLA. At UCLA Housing, he worked as a Housing Dispatcher, where he was responsible for managing the helpdesk and dispatching personnel in non-emergency and emergency situations. He also supervised the Genetec security camera system, handled lost and found items, and managed emergency situations like EMS calls and elevator entrapments. At Innovate@UCLA, he served as the Technical Lead for Bruin YTP Bootcamp, where he founded UBUN2, a social change organization aimed at reducing recidivism through an affordable letter-writing system as a web application for incarcerated individuals. He was awarded first position in the bootcamp competition. Gauresh has a strong academic background, having completed the Singapore International Science Camp (SISC Summer Program) in 2018 and the Inspirit AI Program (Advanced Cohort) at Stanford University in 2020. He has also completed his high school education at Springdales School Dhaula Kuan and K.R. Mangalam World School. Gauresh is a member of the executive board at Statistics Club at UCLA and is actively involved in various community service initiatives. He has a strong technical skill set, including expertise in data science, software engineering, and web development. With 0.94 years of relevant experience, Gauresh is a highly motivated individual with a passion for learning and contributing to the technology industry.
