Gauri Chavan is an experienced Engineer II at EverQuote, a company that connects consumers with insurance providers through their software platform. With over 6 years of relevant experience, Gauri has been instrumental in developing new features on EverQuote's software platform, optimizing performance, improving usability, and maximizing traffic throughput. She has also refactored core features of EverQuote's consumer-facing website into multiple microservices, leveraging a variety of programming languages and software tools such as Go, Ruby on Rails, Javascript, React, Next, and Typescript. Gauri has built the Health vertical consumer-facing website, which drove a lift of 48% and played a significant role in making the Health vertical profitable. Her engineering efforts were recognized across the company.
