Gauri Joshi is a Senior Software Engineer with a strong passion for programming. She has several years of hands-on experience in a variety of programming languages and is always eager to learn more. Currently pursuing her Masters (MS) in Computer Science at the University of San Francisco, Gauri has worked for some of the biggest names in the industry, including VISA, Credit Suisse, Barclays Bank, and Vodafone. Gauri loves working as a Full-Stack developer and considers no portion of the code to be outside of her jurisdiction, whether it is front-end, back-end, databases, etc. She is most excited about working in either web development or data analysis field. Her passions are diversified amongst the aforementioned fields, but her ultimate goal is to make a tangible impact on the technology industry as she aspires to be an influential Software Engineer. Currently working as a Software Engineer 2 at eBay, Gauri is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and operating critical services for the eBay marketplace. She contributes to the design, development, and testing of high throughput backend systems for Payment and Risk platform on the eBay website. She collaborates with the data science team to build models to assess and calculate the risk of millions of transactions happening on eBay and make decisions accordingly. Gauri has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at VISA and a Research Assistant at the University of San Francisco. In her previous roles, she has designed a Unified UI platform for all applications across the organization, worked on a Proof of Concept (POC) to redesign VISA’s merchant interface web application based on Unified UI platform, researched default settings of different visualization tools available in the market, and analyzed user’s performance based on users background, preferences, and expectations using R. Gauri is a highly skilled Software Engineer with a diverse skill set that includes web development, UI, testing, backend, data science, frontend, infra, NodeJS, Javascript, Redux, and research scientist. With over 11 years of relevant experience, Gauri is committed to making a significant impact in the technology industry.
