Gautam Kotian is a Principal DevOps Architect with over 13 years of experience in the IT industry. He has a strong technical background and is an expert in enabling speedy software delivery using DevSecOps core concepts backed by cutting-edge, cost-efficient DevSecOps tools and technologies. Gautam is a Certified Kubernetes Administrator and has hands-on experience in DevOps engineering in software product-based organizations, mainly functioning on public cloud platforms. Gautam's core skill sets in recent years consist of CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins and ArgoCD, designing and setting up infrastructure from scratch on AWS, GCP, Azure, and OpenStack, production-level knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, container security, and DevSecOps using StackRox, Hadolint, and Protecode. He is also proficient in scripting using Python and Bash, has good knowledge of Git and Git workflows, and is an expert in building ELK centralized logging and has good hands-on experience with Prometheus/Grafana for monitoring solutions. Currently, Gautam is working as a Cloud & DevOps Architect at SAP, where he is responsible for planning, designing, and hands-on experience of building Kubernetes Cluster across Global Datacenters, designing and deploying cloud-native applications using containerization/(Kubernetes/Docker), and working with continuous integration and continuous delivery systems - Jenkins and Argo CD. Gautam has also worked at Bristlecone as a Cloud Operations Engineer, where he managed data centers across the globe running on Windows 2008/Windows 2012/Linux Web servers and implemented new data centers as per the requirement. He has also worked at Prolim Solutions India as an Application Engineer, where he was responsible for proactive monitoring of production systems and daily and weekly up-time and system performance reporting. Gautam holds a degree in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai.
