Gautam Krishna is a highly accomplished Research Assistant at the Cockrell School of Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UT Austin, specializing in Brain-Computer Interfaces and Speech Processing. Gautam's area of interest lies in Non-Invasive Brain-Computer Interfaces and Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), and he is actively involved in developing new BCI technologies for enhancing the user experience for various electronic gadgets. Gautam is currently working with Dr. Ahmed H Tewfik on developing BCI applications for smartphones. He is also working on developing new machine learning algorithms to decode brain signals. Gautam's long-term research goal is to make technology/computing accessible to all people. He has worked with Dr. Benito Fernandez on Open BCI applications, Hybrid Processor applications, and formal verification of biological systems. Gautam has over 1.87 years of relevant experience in the industry. He has previously worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, where he worked on multi-modal Siri perception. He has also worked as a Research Intern at Fujitsu Labs, where he worked on Deep Learning research under the guidance of Dr. Martin Bouda. Gautam's tech stack includes ML, Research Scientist, Mobile, and Deep Learning. Gautam's education history includes a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas, an MS in Dynamics Systems and Controls, Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from NIT Silchar, and a High School degree from St. Thomas Central School, Trivandrum.
