Gautam Malu is a highly skilled Computer Vision Lead at Snap2Insight with over 5 years of relevant experience in the field. He holds a Master's degree in Cognitive Science and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). Gautam is proficient in a range of technologies including Computer Vision, CNN, ML, Backend, Deep Learning, ResNet, Python, Pytorch, Mobile, and Software Engineering. At Snap2Insight, Gautam is responsible for developing and implementing breakthrough image recognition techniques to provide unprecedented visibility into how products are merchandised at the shelf and trade promotions are executed. His work on the Retail Execution Analytics Platform aims to disrupt how retail shelf and promotion execution is measured and analyzed, helping brands improve execution and increase sales in this era of shrinking retail shelf space and new brand onslaught. Prior to joining Snap2Insight, Gautam worked as a Consultant at Deep Learn Labs where he worked on Vehicle detection and classification in traffic videos using machine learning and deep learning techniques. He was also responsible for setting up and maintaining the annotation server for traffic video annotation. Gautam has also worked as a Google Summer of Code 2017 student at Opendetection where he added CNN-based classifiers and detectors to the OpenDetection framework. Gautam's strong academic background combined with his technical expertise has enabled him to deliver exceptional results in his roles.
