Geetanshu Singla is an accomplished Engineering Leader with over 10 years of experience in Software Development and a strong background in various technologies and areas such as e-commerce, payments/fintech, cloud computing, distributed systems, and mobile space. He is a growth hacker with excellent leadership skills who has built teams from scratch to over 100+ engineers across all domains and levels. Geetanshu has successfully built scalable systems handling millions of transactions, making him a valuable asset to any organization. Geetanshu's transformational and humbling journey of 5 years in Paytm saw him build India's largest payment transaction platform. He built tech systems used by more than 8 million merchants and 220 million consumers through 10 million transactions per day with more than 500 TPS. He joined the company as a Sr. Software Engineer in 2011 to develop the product and grew with the company to eventually head the engineering team of Paytm Wallet. Geetanshu has numerous experiences delivering complex products from the ground-up, in a quick and iterative manner, ensuring high scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, low latency, and well performance under various mobile network speeds. He is highly innovative and creative with sharp business acumen, guaranteeing world-class execution. Geetanshu has a deep understanding of how to successfully build and manage large and infinitely scalable e-commerce enterprise products and solutions utilizing cutting-edge technologies like big data, NoSQL, distributed solutions, and virtualization techniques. Currently, Geetanshu is the VP Technology and Head of Engineering at BharatPe, where he was the 1st engineering hire by the founding team. He has built the engineering function from scratch across domains and levels and has built scalable payments, lending, deposits, cards, loyalty, and other cross-functional products and their entire tech stack to offer seamless solutions to millions of small and medium Indian merchants. Geetanshu has worked with several other companies, including caroobi, where he was the Head of Engineering, leading cross-country engineering teams in India and Europe to deliver solutions to automobile consumers and service providers. He also worked with Paytm as an Engineering Lead, where he was a founding member of the payments team, scaled the platform from less than 1 million users to 120 million users with 5 million transactions/day and millions of queries/hour, and worked on all the layers of the tech stack as they scaled.
