Geethanjali is an experienced Data Scientist with over 11 years of experience in developing action-oriented solutions for Customer and Marketing Analytics in the Banking & Insurance Industry. She has a demonstrated history of working collaboratively with senior management to develop strategy and approach to defining business challenges to be answered by data science. Geethanjali is skilled in Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Visualization. Currently, Geethanjali works as a Data Scientist at NatWest, where she is responsible for Customer Data Science. In her previous role as a Data Scientist at UNDP, Geethanjali participated in the 10toGO - Volkswagen Group & Microsoft Thinkathon - AI for Sustainable Goals. Her team developed an AI/ML data-based solution to reduce the number of people affected by diseases due to rising pollution levels in air, soil, and water bodies. Geethanjali and her team attempted to map short term/long term diseases that occur due to rise/decline in certain components of water like dissolved oxygen, nitrate levels, etc. at various hotspots where water quality is measured. The collected data is used to forecast probable numbers of water-borne diseases. This will help in avoiding diseases/deaths due to consumption of hazardous water. Geethanjali has also worked as an ML Engineer at Omdena, where she worked on a problem statement related to disaster management. Her team divided the problem into two parts: predicting affected populations and determining the relief package (items and quantities) relevant, given the estimated affected population and location of the cyclone. The built solutions have the potential to significantly help both the populations affected by cyclones and humanitarian agencies, using technology to predict the items that can save and improve lives in disastrous occasions worldwide. Geethanjali holds a Master of Technology in VLSI System Design and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad. She has experience working with technologies such as Data Scientist, Research Scientist, ML, AI, Azure, and Web.
