He was responsible for creating and building the software infrastructure to support the members and international expansion. He also worked closely with the technical co-founders and their engineering teams, offering services that allowed small technical teams to maximize their leverage and punch above their weight. George also served as the VP of Engineering at Top Hat, an interactive platform that enables college and university professors to engage their students inside and outside the classroom with compelling interactive tools and content. He oversaw all aspects of technology development, execution, operations, and security, and successfully grew the engineering team from 15 to 70 people. During his tenure, Top Hat increased revenue from $6M to over $25M, and George introduced mature agile methodologies to ensure project transparency and on-time delivery. George holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is skilled in senior software engineering, infrastructure, testing, UI, and frontend development.
