Ghanashyam Satpathy is a seasoned Principal Engineer with over 21 years of experience in technical leadership, endpoint and cloud application security, security research, and enterprise software development. He has extensive experience in designing cloud-based distributed enterprise applications involving ML/AI on both Windows and Linux platforms. With a focus on cloud and endpoint security software development, distributed computing, and big data analytics, Ghanashyam is a specialist in developing AI/ML-based solutions for massive datasets. Currently working as a Cyber Security Research and Development expert at Netskope, Ghanashyam has accomplished threat research on cloud-native SAS apps involving various threats, architecture design, development, and successful launch of highly performant distributed and scalable AI/ML-based cloud-native scanning solutions that address modern device platforms and zero trust architectures for customers. Prior to his current role, Ghanashyam has worked as a Software Architect at McAfee, where he accomplished architecture design and development of highly performant scalable endpoint security solutions based on behavioral scanning technologies with SAAS/cloud-based (RESTful) technology involving ML and AI for PE/NON-PE files. He has also worked as a Senior Technical Specialist at Intel, where he designed and developed industry-leading scalable endpoint security solutions based on behavioral scanning technologies with cloud-based machine learning and analytics. Ghanashyam has received several awards and recognitions for his contributions to the field of security research and development. He holds patents for deception-based SINKHOLE strategy with large CANARY content to beat ransomware in endpoint, behavior detection strategy for MIMIKATZ and other suspicious LSASS access, and ML-based intelligent scan sensitivity for security products. Ghanashyam has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (formerly UCE), Burla. He is a research scientist with expertise in AI, ML, big data, and software engineering. He is proficient in NoSQL, Elastic Search, Backend, and has over 28 years of relevant experience in the field.
