Ghazi Benahmed is an experienced Freelance Software Engineer with a specialization in Data Engineering, AWS, and Big Data. Currently working as a Data Engineer at free2move, he is responsible for building pipelines to process car fleet data and extract metrics from it using Spark streaming running on AWS EMR and using Terraform to industrialize infrastructure. He is a skilled problem solver and has a proven track record of resolving big data, fast data, and cloud computing related problematics. With almost 12 years of relevant experience, Ghazi has worked with some of the leading companies in the industry. At Groupe Seloger, he developed Spark jobs running on AWS EMR, APIs using Spring, and a Data Lake infrastructure using AWS cloud formation and AWS Lambdas. He also has experience in TDD, code review, and continuous integration. At Le Groupe La Poste, he built a data ingesting generic system using mainly Kafka and Spark and developed a privacy by design system working on recursive schema using mainly Matryoshka library and Catalyst expressions. He also has experience in Spark configuration and optimization. Ghazi holds an Engineer's degree from the National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS), and a Licentiate degree from the Preparatory Institute for Engineering Studies - Monastir. He is proficient in Data Engineering, AWS, Software Engineering, Spark, Infra, Terraform, Big Data, CI/CD, Spring, Integration, and Kafka.
