Ghulam Ahmed Ansari is a Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning at LinkedIn and one of the founding members of the Misinformation Detection Team at LinkedIn Bangalore. He is responsible for building intelligent AI systems at scale that allow early detection of misinformation or fake news on the platform. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Ghulam has strong Machine Learning fundamentals with expertise in Deep Learning, NLP, Reinforcement Learning, and Vision. He has published papers in top conferences and journals like ACL, TACL, NeurIPS(NIPS), and IJCAI. Prior to joining LinkedIn, Ghulam worked as a Research Scientist at IBM Research Labs, Bangalore, where he worked on the problem of Complex Question Answering over Knowledge Bases. He has expertise in the areas of Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, and their applications to real-world problems in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Vision areas. During his time at IBM, Ghulam published papers in top conferences and journals like ACL, TACL, NeurIPS, and IJCAI. Ghulam holds a Master of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution. He also completed his Secondary School from FIIT-JEE Junior College. Ghulam is interested in building state-of-the-art ML solutions for challenging problems to create impact. He has a strong technical background in ML, Software Engineering, Research Scientist, Reinforcement Learning, NLP, AI, Deep Learning, Search, Computer Vision, and Mobile.
