Girichandra Kuchangi is an experienced early-stage venture capitalist and former investment banker with a passion for partnering with passionate entrepreneurs in their early venture journey. Currently serving as a Partner at 1Crowd, an early-stage fund and platform for angel investors, he is responsible for identifying and investing in promising startups from seed to pre-Series A stages across various sectors. With over 17 years of relevant experience, Girichandra has a strong background in investment banking, having worked on cross-border M&A advisory and capital markets. He has also held various startup roles, including Founding Investor and Consultant at mSangeet Technologies, where he co-founded and scaled a smart music education platform, and Head of Strategic Initiatives at Gumbi Software Pvt Ltd and Edutel Technologies Pvt Ltd, where he led strategy and fundraising efforts to use satellite technology to improve learning outcomes in rural and remote schools. Girichandra holds a PGDM in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, a degree in Computer Engineering from NIT Surathkal, and has also studied at ESCP Business School. He is a sector-agnostic investor and is always on the lookout for innovative ideas and passionate founders to partner with.
