Girish Jeyakumar is a highly motivated and passionate computer science engineer and researcher with a drive to identify real-world problems and come up with solutions that make life easier for everyone. With over 5 years of experience in the tech industry, Girish has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including Microsoft and Dropbox. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Dropbox, Girish brings a wealth of experience to the table. Prior to this, he worked at Microsoft in various roles, including Software Engineer 2 on the Azure Cosmos DB - Control Plane & Gateway team and Software Engineer 2 on the Microsoft Power Platform - Connectivity Platform Engineering team. During his time at Microsoft, Girish was responsible for designing and implementing a broad system of monitors with currently over 80% of incidents being caught by monitoring before customer impact and brought down TTD (Time-To-Detect) from over 60 minutes to under 20-30 minutes. He also designed and implemented extensive automation to perform automated correlation, enrichment, impact assessment, transfer, and mitigation leading to vast improvements in incident handling and livesite experience. Girish's education history is equally impressive. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where he was an active participant in various extracurricular activities. He also completed his Secondary School education from Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, where he excelled in the Science Stream. Girish's technical expertise is diverse, ranging from software engineering and research to Azure and infrastructure.
