Girish Ramnani is a Lead Backend Engineer at Virtually Human, currently working on a blockchain-based horse racing game called https://zed.run. With almost 6 years of relevant experience, Girish is well-versed in technologies like Golang, Elixir, Rust, and Blockchain. He is a strong supporter of Open Source Software and his Github profile is a testament to his passion for it. In his current role, Girish is responsible for leading the backend engineering team and using his expertise in Elixir and Solidity (Ethereum) to develop and maintain the game's architecture. He is also proficient in Kubernetes, which allows him to manage the game's infrastructure effectively. Prior to Virtually Human, Girish worked as a System Architect at Macrometa, where he designed the product architecture for future features with an emphasis on visibility and monitoring. He also built an internal health monitoring system and helped SRE in automation and developing tools for them. Before that, he worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Red Hat, where he worked on enhancing odo and introducing constructs that allowed it to be used in other Red Hat products. He also worked toward Kubernetes, Knative, and Tekton pipelines support in odo as a team. Girish holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He is always trying to improve and is willing to learn from everywhere and everybody. His passion for technology and Open Source Software is evident from his work and his contributions to the community.
