Girish U is an experienced Engineering Manager in SDET with over 10 years of experience in the field of software development and testing. He has a deep understanding of both Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle and is proficient in manual and automation testing using TestNG. Girish has a good understanding of Java-based applications and has experience in UI automation using Selenium. He has extensive knowledge in both automated and manual testing and has worked in Agile methodology. Girish has worked with various tools such as Crucible, Jira, TestRail, TestLink, Gitlab, Artifactory, and Stormtest. His expertise in testing tools includes Selenium and TestNG, whereas his proficiency in deployment tools includes Ansible. Currently, he is associated with Gojek as an Associate Manager in QA, where he is responsible for constant improvements in the QA process. He owns the responsibility of all effort from the QA prism and guides the team with best practices to attain a stable automation suite. He designs, develops, modifies, and completes test strategies, plans, and programs. He manages a team of software testers, including project assignments, mentoring, and career planning, and develops goals and objectives for the group. In his past roles, Girish has worked with Gojek as a Lead QA Engineer and Product Engineer QA. He has experience in allocating drivers to every order in Gojek, API and UI testing, and handling end-to-end integration with different systems within Gojek. Girish has also worked with third-party engineers to resolve issues and produced documents for third-party engineers to start UAT. He has worked on API automation and added it to CI, which developers used for build verification. Girish has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University. He has also completed his schooling from Bangalore Education Society.
