Goktug Gurler is a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer at Twitter, with over 11 years of experience in the software development industry. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Koc University, Istanbul. The team was responsible for developing the SDKs that allowed clients to rapidly build applications that can stream ad-stitched HLS content with closed captions. The SDKs provided ad-tracking and entitlement features for monetization and secure data delivery purposes. Goktug has also worked as a research assistant in Koc University, Istanbul. He has developed video streaming and video decoding applications using Java, C/C++ languages. In particular, he has developed a novel P2P video streaming engine that shares content along multiple users in a rate adaptive manner. He has also modified a scalable video decoder to visualize the received content. On the management side, he has designed the software according to project requirements and assigned tasks to his colleagues for development. Moreover, he has also authored the deliverables reports for project referees. Currently, Goktug works as a Software Engineer at Google, focusing on Video Encoding & Backend.
