Gopi Ande is a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with a passion for Data Engineering and Data Science. With over 7 years of experience in the field, Gopi has garnered expertise in building Big Data applications in Cloud platforms, particularly in Microsoft Azure platform. Gopi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He has worked with top companies such as Honeywell and Apexplus Technologies, where he has gained a wealth of experience in Data Engineering, DevOps, and Software Development. At Honeywell, Gopi worked on developing ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, Java, Python, and Azure Databricks. He also developed big data applications for data cleansing and processing using PySpark and used Microsoft Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) for storage in Azure HDInsight. He has hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure platform, Azure HDInsight, Hortonworks frameworks, and has developed memory-efficient java decoder applications to decode raw aircraft QAR data and deployed them in Cloud environments. Gopi has also developed web apps using Flask, Django, HTML, php, bootstrap, js, etc. and visualizations in R and Shiny for Data Analytics. He has owned the complete Data Engineering part of various projects, and has completely automated the build and deployment process for different components of the project using DevOps tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Octopus Deploy. In addition to his technical skills, Gopi is a team player who has worked in an Agile environment with multiple teams, especially Data Science teams, to integrate Analytics to the pipeline, UI/UX teams to provide the backend data using APIs. He has closely worked with all stakeholders to gather requirements and has been responsible for CI/CD for the project.
