Gopi K is a passionate and skilled Software Engineer with over 9 years of experience in the industry. He is a generalist engineer with expertise in multiple programming languages and frameworks including Java, Python, C++, and JavaScript (NodeJS, Electron). Gopi is a maker at heart and strives to write readable, reusable, and well-unit-tested code that other developers can easily understand and use. He loves to automate mundane tasks and is a strong believer in documenting his learnings extensively. Gopi has a personal interest in debugging complex bugs in distributed systems and has experience in root-causing issues involving timing/concurrency and other fundamental computer science concepts. He is also a writer and shares his thoughts on Medium. Gopi is currently working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at VMware, where he is involved in the development of microservices, APIs, and Identity, Authn&Authz (IAM) Management. He has extensive experience in developing REST APIs, RPCs, server features, and new features for C++-based virtual machine agent. Gopi has also worked on DaaS integration with cloud services and developed front-end components using Angular and JSP. Gopi has a Bachelor's degree from PSG College of Technology and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science from Monash University. He has experience working with AWS, Spring, Redis, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spring Boot, Microservices, Jenkins, Frontend, NodeJS, and Python.
