Gopi Sukhavasi is a serial entrepreneur with extensive domain knowledge in procurement and a MBA from Columbia Business School in entrepreneurship. He is the founder of MyCheckins, a Slack/Teams bot that reduces team meetings while increasing productivity and visibility. Gopi believes that unexpected or undesired outcomes are still successes, as they provide opportunities for growth and learning, both personally and professionally. His previous start-ups may have failed on paper, but they taught him valuable lessons that he applies to MyCheckins. Gopi is also the founder of Lingvista, which aims to bring years of procurement experience to the Language Service Provider industry. It is like an Uber for Interpreters, where LSPs can post a job, check an interpreter's schedule, and interpreters can accept the job and submit their log sheet after the job is completed. Lingvista helps LSPs and interpreters save time and increase efficiency with the operational process. Before Lingvista, Gopi founded CoolerTalk, which aims to be the GlassDoor for contract jobs. It provides information on how much other contractors get paid and what their experiences are while working with a particular client. Gopi was inspired to start CoolerTalk after a personal experience where he was happy with a contract job but had to travel regularly. When a new contract job came along, he thought it would not involve as much travel, but it turned out to be a total mismatch for him. He ended up leaving the contract and realized that there was no easy solution for contractors to find information about clients except to rely on friends who already work there. Gopi is also a member of RevGenius, a community of sales and marketing professionals who share knowledge and resources to help each other grow. Gopi has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Gulbarga University and has 21.21 years of relevant experience. He is passionate about building start-ups that truly benefit people and believes that reducing team meetings can lead to greater productivity and success.
