Gourav Charaya is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with over 9 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing mobile and web applications using various technologies. He is currently employed at Coinbase, where he is part of the international team responsible for launching open banking payment rails for UK users and working on growth loops like referrals and promo codes during India launch. Gourav is also responsible for taking care of localization, growth loops, and international expansion related initiatives. Prior to joining Coinbase, Gourav worked as a Lead Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer-II at MakeMyTrip, where he played a significant role in helping the company venture into three new lines of business called 'Activities, Events, and Meals & Deals.' He developed the mobile app for both Android and iOS using React & React Native from scratch by writing scalable and robust code. Gourav also developed a mobile app using React Native for Android and iOS and a responsive web app to provide functionality to the vendors to manage their inventory, bookings, and other stuff. He also developed a performant server-side rendered desktop site using custom Node Server, React, and Redux.
