Gowrish Pai is a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer at WalmartLabs, where he is currently leading the redesign and revamp of the next generation of customer communication platform. With over 17 years of relevant experience, he has a proven track record of success in designing and building scalable software systems. In his previous role as an Architect at WalmartLabs, Gowrish was involved in building the first version of the transactional Communications platform which enables customers to receive their transactional notifications via different channels. He also played a vital role as a consultant and architect for the digital Pharmacy team and digital Money Services team. Before joining WalmartLabs, Gowrish worked as an SDE-2 at Flipkart, where he had the opportunity to work on the first generation of Warehousing/Shipping modules in the SCM team and building the first version of Financials module for the SCM team. He also built the first home-grown version of Flipkart's SCM system based on micro-service style architecture. Prior to that, he worked as an SMT at De Shaw, where he worked on the platform that supports trading and developed a dev-friendly tool that would allow one to interface with GQL servers. Gowrish's technical expertise includes Software Engineering, Senior Software Engineering, Microservices, and Backend development.
