Greg Clayman is a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm that invests in technology startups. With over 11 years of relevant experience, Greg has a proven track record of recruiting and managing talent in the tech industry. Prior to joining Andreessen Horowitz, Greg served as Director of Talent Acquisition and HR at Chronicled, where he developed blockchain network protocols for the secure exchange of physical goods across various ecosystems. He also led all functions related to HR, recruiting, culture, and people, including developing pipelines from scratch and building the full-cycle recruiting process for all roles. In addition, Greg established Chronicled's Canadian office in Vancouver and represented the company at Distributed 2018. Before joining Chronicled, Greg worked as a Recruiter at Google, where he was responsible for full-cycle Sales Engineering staffing for Google Cloud in the Central US and Canada. He mentored and onboarded new team members and had the quickest start-to-hire in team history. He was responsible for 54% of the team's Google Cloud hires in Q2 2017 and 45% of the team's hires in Q3 2017. Greg holds a BA in Communication and Linguistics from Tulane University, an MS in Communication from Pepperdine University, and has completed coursework in Linguistics from Brown University. He is currently pursuing a Computer Science degree from Stanford University through the Code in Place program.
