Gunjan Gupta is a highly experienced software engineer and data mining expert with over 20 years of industry experience. She has a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Texas, an MS in Data Mining from the same institution, and a BS in Computer Science from IT-BHU (part of IIT-JEE), India. At The Climate Corporation, she worked as a senior machine learning engineer and lead, helping launch TWI 2013 Corn and Soybean on time. At Microsoft, she worked as a hybrid researcher-developer at Bing's Domain Relevance Machine Learning group, where she developed machine learning algorithms and fully engineered solutions for improving several domains for Bing. As the Founder and CEO of Lightsphere AI Inc, Gunjan is responsible for researching and developing cutting-edge models and fully engineered machine learning systems for a variety of industry domains such as fraud, recommendation systems, domain-specific search, and various future valuation, price, and risk estimation problems. She has built sophisticated ML sub-systems in search, time-series, and NLP, and has powerful infrastructure for deployment, packaging, testing, code gen, security and auth, inventory management. Gunjan is an expert in AI, ML, Search, NLP, and recommendation systems. She is proficient in Scala, Python, Java, C++, C, Pascal, HTML (CGI), Oracle SQL, IDL, MATLAB, LISP, PROLOG, and 8086 Assembly.
