Gunjit Khera is a Full Stack + AbInitio Developer, Tech Lead, and an aspiring entrepreneur at Skuad. With 8.78 years of relevant experience, he is a highly motivated and proactive individual who is always up for challenges. Gunjit believes that there is always an optimal way of doing things and knowledge is something that can be gathered only if you put aside the "I know it all!!" notion. In his current role at Skuad, Gunjit is responsible for architecting data pipelines and leading the tech team. He has a strong background in data engineering, big data, and ETL. Prior to Skuad, Gunjit worked as a Big Data Engineer at Airtel, where he researched and implemented data ingestion in Druid using Apache Spark and wrote Airflow jobs for automated data ingestion into Druid, thus implementing an overall ETL pipeline. He also deployed Hortonworks Ambari Server and administered it, including setting up custom alerts and service health and status monitoring checks on Grafana. Gunjit has also worked as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Quovantis, where he managed the mPulse Mobile Platform for a US healthcare client and built Rest API’s in frameworks such as Tornado and Pyramid. He was solely responsible for developing and managing Flask middleware piece for integrating Oracle Eloqua with mPulse Mobile platform thus enabling launching of SMS and PN campaigns to patients through Eloqua and also, auto responding them in case of replies. He also automated the deployment of the mPulse platform using Docker, making Docker image for easy installation and deployment of the platform, thus reducing any newbies' efforts in local mode set up of the platform as a part of Induction to the project. Gunjit's tech stack includes SQL, Spark, UI, Flask, Frontend, Apache Airflow, Redis, ReactJS, Docker, Integration, Scala, Jenkins, Mobile, and Spring. He is a senior software engineer with a passion for learning new technologies and always looking for ways to improve his skills.
