He has a deep interest in computer graphics/vision, computational photography, machine learning, UI/UX design, and iOS & Android development. He is highly skilled in Python, Java, C, Shell, and has experience with C++, Swift, TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, OpenCV, Nvidia OptiX, Unreal CV, and OpenGL. He is also proficient in using Blender, Figma, Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom/InDesign for graphics design. Currently, Guowei is working as a CSE 167 (Computer Graphics I) Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego. He has also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher and a CSE 190 (Virtual Reality Technology) Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego. In the latter role, he designed homework assignments with the instructor that allowed students to experiment on VR system characteristics, VR immersive experience, and simulating a CAVE (Cave Automatic Virtual Environment) system. He also hosted discussion sessions that taught students VR development with Unity and Oculus Quest 2. Guowei's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley, and coursework in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from East Los Angeles College. He is expected to complete his Master of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering in December 2022. With his expertise in ML, Research Scientist, designer, Computer Vision, UI, OpenCV, TensorFlow, Pandas, iOS, Pytorch, Mobile, Software Engineer, Python, Java, Android, and relevant experience of 0.86 years, Guowei is excited to take on new challenges and make a significant contribution to the field of visual computing and machine learning.
