Gursifath Bhasin is a highly motivated and skilled technology professional with a passion for computer science and data analysis. With a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from DTU and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University, Gursifath possesses a strong educational background in the field. Gursifath's fascination with computers began during an INSPIRE internship camp where she attended a talk by Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharya, a distinguished astrophysics scientist. He introduced her to the concept of big data and helped her understand that computers could someday help us determine the exact number of stars in the sky. Since then, Gursifath has been committed to learning, growing, and excelling in the technology sector. Currently working as a Technology Analyst - Data Science at Citi, Gursifath has collaborated in a team of five for Citi's Capital Markets business, where she has been involved in python API development, smart search backed by Rasa, production deployments, and enhancing UX and code reusability. She has also identified over 100 critical emails by determining underlying emotional tone and developed a FastAPI application employing BERT, achieving an accuracy of 90% on unseen test data. Gursifath has also worked as a Technology Analyst - Full Stack Development and Technology Analyst at Citi, where she drove backend functionality of Program Increment (PI) planning dashboard and spearheaded and managed enhancements to UI and backend of a metadata-driven application empowering clients to design customized reports by choosing data elements and formatting options. Gursifath's technical skills include Data Scientist, BERT, Backend, test, Search, Big Data, Python, Research Scientist, Spring, ui, and AngularJS.
