Gurunath P is an experienced NLP developer with a strong background in Python and deep learning. He is currently working as a Research Intern at IIIT Hyderabad under the Indian Academy of Sciences' Summer Research Fellowship Program. Gurunath's primary focus is on implementing Automatic Speech Recognition systems in various toolkits such as Kaldi-ASR toolkit, Kaldi-PDNN toolkit, and EESEN toolkit using deep learning frameworks provided in the toolkits. During his Summer Research Fellowship Program in 2016, Gurunath worked at the Speech and Vision Lab-LTRC, IIIT Hyderabad, under Dr. Anil Kumar Vuppala, where he implemented Automatic Speech Recognition software in various toolkits. He was able to carry out bottleneck feature extraction for ASR systems provided in the toolkits. This experience improved his debugging and application skills and gave him more confidence in handling Linux shell scripts. Gurunath completed his Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from K L University in 2018. He also holds an Intermediate (10+2) degree in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Sri Mega Study Circle, Hyderabad, and a High School degree from St. Patrick's Junior College, Hyderabad. With over 6.77 years of relevant experience as a Research Scientist, Gurunath is proficient in NLP, Python, Deep Learning, and Neural Networks. He is passionate about exploring new technologies and implementing them in his work. Gurunath is a proactive team player who enjoys collaborating with others to achieve common goals.
