Hamza Tahir is a highly skilled software developer turned ML engineer and co-founder of ZenML, an open-source MLOps framework aimed at creating reproducible machine learning pipelines. With almost five years of relevant experience, Hamza has a passion for ideating, implementing, and launching data-driven products. Hamza's previous projects include PicHance, Scrilys, BudgetML, and you-tldr. He gained valuable experience deploying ML in production for predictive maintenance use-cases at his first startup, which led him to co-create ZenML. The framework aims to bridge the gap between the training part of the ML development and the post-training/deployment phase, making it easier for data scientists to create ML workflows that can be taken to production with minimal effort. Before founding ZenML, Hamza worked as a machine learning engineer at Motius GmbH, where he implemented a process mining tool based on statistical analysis and machine learning that retrieved valuable insights from usage logs for industrial machinery. He also worked as an AI engineer at the Digital Product School by UnternehmerTUM, where he was part of a team that piloted a project about predictive maintenance for truck fleets. Hamza's education history includes a Master's degree in Informatics from the Technical University of Munich, an Honors degree in Technology Management from the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM), and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences. He also completed high school at Aitchison College, Lahore. Hamza's tech stack includes ML, software engineering, AI, Python, and Elastic Search. He is open to discussing all things machine learning and MLOps and is currently hiring for ZenML.
