Hari Palappetty is an accomplished leader with over 15 years of experience in building and delivering world-class products at web-scale globally. As the Vice President of Engineering at Near, he is responsible for building a world-class Data Intelligence Platform with awesome Engineers and colleagues around him. Near is the world's largest source of intelligence on people and places, processing data from over 1.6 billion monthly users across 44 countries. The Near Platform powers data-driven marketing and enrichment offerings through a suite of SaaS products. Hari is an expert in Mobility and Data Engineering, and he backs these passions by relentlessly learning and practicing the knowledge in the real world. He has a strong product and engineering skills, which he has demonstrated over the years. Prior to Near, Hari served as the Head of Products & Strategy at Above Solutions, where he initiated and drove Agile Transformation. He also managed a team of 30+ to deliver high-quality product/solutions and helped develop and deliver multiple mobile e-learning solutions successfully to Market for fortune 500 companies. Hari also worked as a Product Manager - Mobile Apps at Bigbasket, where he led the design, development, and growth of consumer-facing Mobile Apps (iOS & Android). He was responsible for taking the apps (Android & iOS) from a few thousand downloads to being the preferred grocery shopping app for millions of consumers in India. Hari has a Master's degree in Analysis, Design, and Management of Information Systems from LSE, a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing from C-DAC, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University. Hari's tech stack includes Mobile, Android, iOS, Data Engineering, product manager, and web. He is a results-oriented leader who can drive product development from ideation to launch and beyond.
