Hariharan Ramalingam is a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer with over 14 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working at Infinx as a Senior Data Engineer, where he is responsible for designing and developing Hadoop ETL solutions to move data to the data lake using big data tools like Sqoop, Hive, Spark, and HDFS. Hariharan has hands-on experience in batch-driven MapReduce programs in Java for data extraction, transformation, and aggregation from multiple file formats, including XML, JSON, CSV, and other compressed file formats. In his previous role as a Big Data Analyst Lead at CACI International Inc, Hariharan was responsible for designing and implementing ETL in data ingestion into HDFS using Java, Pentaho DI, Sqoop, and StreamSets. He also developed scripts in Hive to perform transformations on the data and load them to target systems for use by data analysts for reporting. Hariharan has experience in developing Spark code using the Scala programming language and Spark SQL for high-speed data processing to meet critical business requirements. Hariharan has also worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst/Software Developer at IDL Government Solutions, Inc., where he led the design and development of the test solution for the Medicare Administrative Inquiry Tracking and Reporting of Operations (MAISTRO) system. He performed functionality, integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing for all MAISTRO maintenance releases and developed new BIRT reports based on business and customer requirements. Hariharan holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Wright State University.
