Haris Baig is an accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience in software development, management, and information technology. He is currently a Senior Technical Program Manager at Amazon, where he brings his expertise in leadership, complex business and technical critical thinking, problem-solving, time and cost management, and persuasive communication. Haris is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP). He has managed Cerner's top cross-organizational growth portfolios and programs, where he was responsible for operational excellence of Open Platform and Interoperability business units, including a diverse set of products, programs, and global markets. Haris is recognized for his ability to bring calm to chaos and has successfully implemented an ongoing SAFe-based Quarterly Planning process for product planning and development. He has established agile teams and implemented The Scrum Framework across all agile teams. Haris is leading a diverse and geographically dispersed team, including US, India, and consultants in Europe, and is directly responsible for Scrum Masters and Program Specialists. Haris has managed over 30 Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Federal system integrations using HL7 SMART and FHIR standards with 10 go-lives occurring ahead of schedule to date. He is responsible for 21st Century Cures Act Single Patient API and Bulk Data product deliverables with 200+ associates contributing across Cerner. He has also planned and executed other programs and emerging markets, including Cerner’s Open Developer Experience (code) program, Sweden, UK, Australia, and Finland. Haris holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri.
