Harpreet Singh is a seasoned credit market expert with over 14 years of experience in the field. He has spent six years in Credit Strategy in Europe and North America and the last seven years in Asian Credit Trading. Currently, Harpreet is the Head of the Asian Credit Trading team at Credit Agricole, where he is responsible for building and expanding the credit trading business. He manages a team of three people and has improved the trading business to be a top 10 player in the market. Harpreet is a strong believer in high quality and steady revenue generation from a secondary credit trading desk operating on the twin pillars of fundamental and technical expertise. He focuses on building a consistent and profitable secondary trading desk based on the twin pillars of clients' relationships and fundamental credit analysis. His business is built around the success of clients by leveraging fundamental credit research to come up with ideas and investment themes to help clients achieve their objectives. Harpreet is a seasoned market maker with extensive experience across all Asian Investment Grade bonds, Corporate and Sovereign CDS, and CDS indices. He is also experienced in building non-linear credit derivatives business from the ground up. Before joining Credit Agricole, Harpreet worked at JP Morgan as VP, Asia Credit Trading, where he was responsible for market making in USD denominated bonds and CDS for Asian and Australian Corporate credits. He was also responsible for market making in CNH denominated corporate bonds and back-up trader for Financials and Sovereign bond trading. Harpreet holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is a research scientist and senior software engineer.
