Harsh Devprakash Gupta is a passionate software engineer with a focus on using programming and software to solve practical problems. He believes that programming should be an essential part of the general course curriculum, and has been obsessed with software engineering since writing his first program in Python. Harsh is currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering and a minor in Finance at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he is a Senior in the College of Engineering. Harsh has more than 2 years of experience in System Administration, working with High Performance Cluster (Supercomputer) Lab at Engineering Research Facility at UIC, which has helped him polish his skills in software and hardware troubleshooting as well as networking. He is also currently a teaching assistant, tutoring 200 level CS courses at UIC. Harsh's past internships include positions like Java/MySQL developer and Software Engineering Intern, where he used his knowledge in Data Structures, Software Engineering, and Web Development. Most recently, he is doing research in the field of Machine Learning and Data Mining. Harsh's skills and interests include C++, Java, F#, Python, JavaScript, C#, Github, GitLab, SQL, Docker, CSS, HTML, Laravel, Machine Learning, Big Data, Data Mining, PHP, Ruby on Rails, End to End Testing, PHP, Node.js, React, and Flutter. He is proficient in Machine Learning technologies such as TensorFlow, OpenCV, Keras, Pytorch, Jupyter Notebook, and Sage. Harsh is also experienced in Supercomputer technologies such as Moab, Torque, and Ganglia. He is familiar with Agile Software Development, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Scrum, Test-driven Development (TTP), Model-View_Architecture (MVC), and Microservices methodologies. Currently, Harsh is working as a Software Engineer at Cummins. In the past, he has worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois Chicago and as a Software Engineer Intern at Cummins. Harsh's educational background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a High School degree in Engineering from The Scindia School.
