Harsh Maliwal is a Product Manager at ServiceNow's ITSM Business Unit, where he owns Surveys and Assessments within the NOW Platform. With 5.20 years of relevant experience, Harsh is a newly-minted PM who gravitated towards product management because of his love for interacting with people and empowering them. He enjoys finding out what motivates people, how they think, why they do what they do, and then using that information to solve abstract problems that have strong people elements and opportunities for impact. In his current role, Harsh is responsible for owning Surveys and Assessments and Walk-Up Experiences. He also built ServiceNow's first-ever mobile survey-taking experience. Before becoming a Product Manager, Harsh worked as a Software Engineer at ServiceNow, where he worked on several functional areas and widgets in Service Portal. He was also part of a founding team of 10 engineers who delivered Catalog Builder, a WYSIWYG experience for creating and maintaining IT Service Catalog items and templates. Harsh is a graduate of the apprenticeship program at ServiceNow, where he worked as a product apprentice and then as a full-time Product Manager (PM-2). During his apprenticeship, he ran product ops for the San Diego release, which involved managing the roadmap, scrum, and customer interfacing. He also worked in the Centre of Excellence group in Applications Engineering, where he delivered component-based web UIs using an internal JS framework. Harsh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani-Goa Campus. In his free time, Harsh enjoys reading and connecting with people who talk about new ideas in science and technology. He also likes meeting people who are working in the social sector to try and make a difference in the world around them. Harsh is proficient in product management, JavaScript, UI, software engineering, mobile, web, ReactJS, Java, and test.
