Harsh Mistry is a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Einfochips with over 5 years of experience in product engineering services and firmware development. He is passionate about solving real-world problems and designing robust software/firmware for embedded products. Harsh is always eager to learn new technologies and acquire new skills, making him an asset to any team. Harsh has a strong foundation in OS internals and Linux internals, including IPC, threads, and device drivers. He is proficient in programming languages such as C, C++ (beginner), and embedded assembly, and has experience working with microcontroller architectures such as ARM v4T, v7, and v8. He is also well-versed in communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and USB. Harsh has a solid understanding of the software development process, specifically the V-model. Harsh's hardware experience includes working with STM32F407VG Discovery, BeagleBone Black, ARM CortexM3 LPC1768, ARM7TDMI LPC2148, AVR ATMEGA64/128, and ESP32. He has also received a Gold medal in the All India painting competition, played football at the state level, and is a philatelist and guitar player. Currently, Harsh is working on firmware development at Einfochips, where he is involved in firmware design discussions with clients and has exposure to gathering firmware requirements and creating firmware design documents. He is designing RTOS-based firmware for products from scratch and is involved in RTOS porting [freeRTOS], display libraries [STemWin/emWin], and Yocto build systems. Harsh has also received the Pat on the back award for reducing 9555 LVCB errors in production for a client [Feb 2022]. Harsh has previously worked for Alstom via QuEST Global, where he worked on software implementation of various train application software and designed scripts for testing the functionality of the software. He has also worked for Bombardier Transportation as a Control Software Engineer, where he developed, debugged, and tested safety-critical applications according to IEC61131 coding standards, and was exposed to model-based development of closed-loop systems in MATLAB, HIL testing, and test methods such as Software Modification (SWM), component test, integration test, and overall test.
